Snyder Re-elected 3:2 in AR2: In an election in Arkansas's 2nd Congressional District today, 10/30/06, incumbent Democrat Vic Snyder defeats Republican challenger Andy Mayberry 60% to 39%, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for KTHV-TV Little Rock. Since an identical SurveyUSA KTHV-TV poll 11 days ago, Snyder has gained 3 points and Mayberry has lost 2. Snyder had led by 16, now leads by 21. Snyder gets 92% of Democrat votes. Mayberry gets 82% of Republican votes. 17% of Republicans cross over to vote for the Democrat Snyder. Independents favor Snyder by 10 points.
Snyder was first elected to Congress in 1996. The election is in 8 days, on 11/7/06.
