In a Democratic Primary for Governor of NC today, 01/15/08, 16 weeks to the vote, Lieutenant Governor Beverly Perdue leads State Treasurer Richard Moore by 9 points, unchanged from an identical SurveyUSA WTVD-TV tracking poll 10 weeks ago. Moore leads among men by 5 points. Perdue leads among women by 20 points -- a 25-point Gender Gap. Moore's support is older. Perdue's support is younger. Perdue is strongest in Southern and Coastal NC. Moore's support is distributed more evenly geographically. Incumbent Mike Easley is term limited.
