Lamborn wins by 24 points among men. The contest is tied among women. Lamborn gets 78% of Republican votes. Fawcett gets 81% of Democrat votes. Independents favor Fawcett by 2:1, but this is not enough to overcome the 27-point advantage Republicans have in the composition of CO5 likely voters. Those who approve of President George W. Lamborn won a bitterly contested Republican Primary 8/8/06, and Hefley has refused to endorse Lamborn.
