State of Washington Voters Unfamiliar With November Ballot Initiatives: In an election today in the state of Washington, most Registered Voters are not certain how they will vote on statewide Initiatives 920, 933, and 937, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for KING-TV Seattle. 10 weeks to the 11/7/06 election, 68% of voters are not certain how they will vote on Initiative 920, concerning estate tax. Of the ones who are certain how they will vote, most oppose 920. 67% of voters are not certain how they will vote on Initiative 933, concerning government regulation of private property. Of the ones who are certain how they will vote, most oppose 933. 83% are not certain how they will vote on Initiative 937, concerning energy use by electric utilities. With voter awareness low at this point, no conclusions may be drawn as to whether the initiatives will pass or fail. The exact language that was read to poll respondents appears in the tables that follow.

Filtering: 1,200 Washington adults were interviewed 8/25/06 - 8/27/06. Of them, 969 were registered to vote. Crosstabs reflect Registered Voters. No attempt was made in this survey to identify or screen for Likely Voters.
