Hagan and Neal Still Tied, but Combined, They Continue to Trail 'Undecided': In a Democratic Primary in NC for United States Senator today, 04/08/08, for the right to oppose incumbent Republican Elizabeth Dole in November, Kay Hagan and Jim Neal remain effectively tied, as they have been for 60 days. But in one of the most bizarre tracking graphs that SurveyUSA has ever laid down in 800 separate election contests, neither candidate has any momentum, now 4 weeks to the Primary. Today, the contest stands: 21% Hagan, 20% Neal, with Duskin Lassiter, Howard Staley, and Marcus Williams far back. 45% tell SurveyUSA they are undecided, or would vote for some candidate that SurveyUSA did not name.

Filtering: 2,100 state of NC adults were interviewed 04/05/08 through 04/07/08. Of them, 1,824 were registered to vote. Of them, 725 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote in the Democratic Primary.
