12 Weeks To NC Primary, McCrory Leads 2:1 in Fight for GOP Governor Nomination:
Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory entered the Republican race for North Carolina governor one month ago, immediately out-polling his competitors. Today, three months to the primary, McCrory has increased his lead and takes 33% in an election today, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for WTVD-TV Raleigh. Bill Graham and Fred Smith tie for second at 16%; Bob Orr trails with 9%. In the month since SurveyUSA last tracking poll, McCrory is up 6 points, Orr is up 3, Graham is up 1, Smith is down 2. One of every three likely Republican voters remain undecided in this contest.

2,000 state of NC adults were interviewed by SurveyUSA 02/11/08. Of the adults, 1,669 were registered to vote. Of them, 436 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote in the 05/06/08 NC Republican Primary. |
