Analysis: In a Democratic Primary in Colorado's 7th Congressional District today, 8/1/06, Ed Perlmutter defeats Peggy Lamm and Herb Rubenstein, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for KUSA-TV Denver. 7 days from the 8/8/06 Primary, Perlmutter gets 51% of the vote. Lamm gets 31%, 20 points back. Rubenstein trails with 10%. 8% are undecided. Perlmutter does best with the most educated voters. Lamm wins among African-Americans and voters with annual incomes under $40K. Rubenstein's strongest support comes from voters under age 35. The winner will face Republican Rick O'Donnell in November. Incumbent Republican Congressman Bob Beauprez is running for Colorado Governor this year. |
Filtering: 2,000 adults from Colorado's 7th Congressional District were interviewed 7/29/06 - 7/31/06. Of them, 1,807 were registered to vote.
