The Primary is in 8 days, on 5/23/06. Halter gets 41% of the Democratic Primary vote. Tim Wooldridge gets 20%. Mike Hathorn gets 14%. Jay Martin trails with 6%. 20% of Democratic Primary voters are undecided. Since an identical SurveyUSA KTHV-TV poll 5 weeks ago, Halter has gained 8 points, Wooldridge has gained 5 points, Hathorn is unchanged.

Republican Primary: In a Republican Primary for Arkansas Lieutenant Governor today, 5/15/06, Jim Holt wins in a landslide, according to a SurveyUSA poll of 344 likely Republican Primary Voters conducted exclusively for KTHV-TV Little Rock. The Primary is in 8 days, on 5/23/06. Holt gets 57% of the Republican Primary vote. Chuck Banks and Doug Matayo tie at 12%. 19% are undecided. Holt is an Arkansas state Senator who lost a statewide race to U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln in 2004.

Filtering: 2,000 Arkansas adults were interviewed 5/12/06 - 5/14/06. Of them, 1,633 were Registered Voters. Of them, 835 were judged to be "Likely Voters". Of them, 491 chose a Democratic ballot and 344 chose a Republican ballot. Crosstabs reflect Likely Primary Voters.
