GOP Incumbent Davis Holds KY4 for Republicans: In an election for U.S. House of Representatives today, Election Eve, in Kentucky's 4th Congressional District, Republican incumbent Geoff Davis consolidates support at the wire to defeat Democrat challenger Ken Lucas. In 6 SurveyUSA tracking polls conducted exclusively for WCPO-TV Cincinnati and WHAS-TV Louisville, the lead has changed hands 3 times in a tight fight. But, Davis ends with 49%, the highest he has polled in 4 months, Lucas ends at 43%, the lowest he has polled in 4 months. Davis lost to Lucas in 2002 but was elected in 2004 after Lucas retired. Lucas represented the 4th District from 1999 through 2004.

Filtering: 900 adults from Kentucky's 4th Congressional District were interviewed 11/3/06 through 11/5/06. Of them, 761 were registered to vote. Of them, 510 were judged to be "likely" voters. Crosstabs reflect Likely Voters.
