In a November Head-to-Head, Larsen Beats Roulstone: In a hypothetical head-to-head matchup in Washington's 2nd Congressional District today, 8/31/06, Democratic incumbent Rick Larsen defeats Republican challenger Doug Roulstone, 58% to 35%, according to a SurveyUSA poll of 586 Registered Voters conducted exclusively for KING-TV Seattle. Larsen leads by 31 points among women and by 14 points among men. Larsen gets 94% of Democrat votes. Roulstone gets 75% of Republican votes. 21% of Republican voters cross over to vote for the Democrat Larsen. Independents favor Larsen 3:1. Those who approve of President George W. Bush's job performance choose Roulstone 69% to 22%. Those who disapprove of Bush's performance choose Larsen 84% to 10%. President Bush's approval rating among Registered Voters in Washington's 2nd CD is 38%. The election is on 11/7/06. Larsen was first elected to Congress in 2000.

Filtering: 700 adults in Washington's 2nd Congressional District were interviewed 8/28/06 - 8/30/06. Of them, 586 were registered to vote. Crosstabs reflect Registered Voters.
