No Telling What May Happen to Sales Tax for Ford Center in OK City: 35 days from the vote, Oklahoma City voters are divided over whether or not a one-cent sales tax should be extended in order to pay for improvements to The Ford Center, according to this SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for KFOR-TV. Today, 47% of likely voters tell SurveyUSA they are certain to vote yes, 48% are certain to vote no, and 5% of likely voters are not certain how they will vote. Support for the sales tax extension is strongest among NBA fans, Republicans, and men. Opposition is strongest among those who are not NBA fans, women, and those aged 50-64.

Filtering: 1,300 Oklahoma City adults were interviewed by SurveyUSA 01/26/08 - 01/28/08. Of them, 1,110 were registered to vote. Of them, 438 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote on the sales tax extension. When the likely voters in today's release are first asked about the Amendment, 18% are Not Certain. When the Not Certain voters are then asked whether they lean toward Yes or lean toward No, the number of Not Certain voters drops from 18% to 5%, Yes increases from 40% to 47%, and No increases from 42% to 48%.
