Democrat Larsen Easily Re-elected in WA2: In an election today, 10/5/06, in Washington's 2nd Congressional District, incumbent Democrat Rick Larsen defeats Republican Challenger Doug Roulstone by 25 points, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for KING-TV Seattle. 33 days to the 11/7/06 election, Larsen gets 60% of the vote. Roulstone gets 35%. Larsen wins by 36 points among women and by 15 points among men. Larsen gets 95% of Democrat votes. Roulstone gets 81% of Republican votes. Independents support Larsen by 4:1. Those who approve of President George W. Bush's performance in office support Roulstone 5:1. Those who disapprove of Bush support Larsen 12:1. President Bush's approval rating among WA2 likely voters is 35%. Larsen was first elected to Congress in 2000.

Filtering: 800 adults from Washington's 2nd Congressional District were interviewed 10/2/06 - 10/4/06. Of them, 686 were registered to vote. Of them, 483 were judged to be "likely" voters. Crosstabs reflect Likely Voters.
