In New York, Republican McCain Runs Away With It: 4 days to the New York Republican Primary, John McCain has a striking advantage over Mitt Romney, according to SurveyUSA's latest tracking poll in the state. McCain at 55% leads Romney by 34 points, with Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul further back. McCain is dominant in every region of the state, and leads among most every demographic sub-group.
 
Filtering: 2,700 New York state adults were interviewed by SurveyUSA 01/30/08 and 01/31/08. All interviews completed after results of the Florida Primary were known. Of the adults, 2,391 were registered to vote. Of them, 426 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote in the 02/05/08 Republican Primary. Research conducted for WABC-TV New York City, WGRZ-TV Buffalo, WHEC-TV Rochester, WNYT-TV Albany and WTNH-TV New Haven.
