Compared to a SurveyUSA poll 1 month ago, McCain is down 3, Obama is up 4. Today: White voters split; McCain had led by 9. There are few plausible scenarios in which McCain loses Indiana and still wins the White House. The last Democrat to carry Indiana was Lyndon Johnson in 1964, who, nationwide, received 61% of the popular vote and 90% of the electoral vote.

Filtering: 800 Indiana adults were interviewed 10/21/08 and 10/22/08. Of them, 731 were registered to vote. Of them, 631 were determined by SurveyUSA to have already voted, or to be likely to vote on or before election day.
