| Republican Primary: In a Republican Primary for Governor of Nevada today, 6/14/06, Congressman Jim Gibbons wins easily, according to an exclusive SurveyUSA poll conducted for KVBC-TV Las Vegas. With two months to go until the 8/15/06 Primary, Gibbons gets 50% of the vote. Nevada State Senator Bob Beers gets 18%. Lieutenant Governor Lorraine Hunt gets 15%. Gibbons leads by 19 points in the Las Vegas area and by 52 points in the rest of Nevada. Incumbent Republican Governor Kenny Guinn is term-limited. |
