Iowans Oppose Rate-Payer Pre-Funded Nuclear Reactor for MidAmerican Energy: 600 state of Iowa registered voters interviewed by SurveyUSA 04/19/11 through 04/21/11 are opposed to a proposal before the Iowa Legislature that would raise electricity rates for customers of MidAmerican Energy, which money may go to build a nuclear reactor. Voters prefer renewable energy sources when asked to choose between nuclear and renewable energy resources such as wind.
