| 1 | Leon County will start a pilot program for adults who commit first-time, non-violent crimes. Instead of being arrested, offenders would be issued civil citations. They would have to perform 25 hours of community service, undergo treatment for any underlying issues that contributed to the offense and pay all costs associated with the program. If the program is implemented statewide, it could save Florida $140 million dollars a year. Do you think this is a good idea? Or a bad idea? |
