Impossible to Know Who Will Face CA Senator Dianne Feinstein In November; None of Her 23 Primary Opponents Register on Radar: 2 months to the open, "top-2" California primary for U.S. Senate, incumbent Democrat Dianne Feinstein is assured of advancing to the general election, but which of her 23 opponents will make it out of the primary is unknowable today, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted for KABC-TV Los Angeles, KPIX-TV San Francisco, KFSN-TV Fresno and KGTV-TV San Diego. The top-2 finishers advance, regardless of whether they are from the same, or from different, political parties.

Feinstein is at 51% today. 2 challengers are at 2% ... 12 challengers are at 1% ... 9 challengers are at 0% ... 30% of likely primary voters are undecided.

Cell phone and home phone respondents included in this research. 2,440 adults from the state of California were interviewed by SurveyUSA 03/29/12 through 04/02/12. Of the adults 1,995 were registered to vote. Of the registered voters, 1,314 were judged to be likely to vote in the 06/05/12 California primary for U.S. Senate. This research was conducted using blended sample, mixed mode. Respondents reachable on a home telephone (76% of likely voters), were interviewed on their home telephone in the recorded voice of a professional announcer. Respondents not reachable on a home telephone (24% of likely voters) were shown a questionnaire on their smartphone, tablet or other electronic device.
