NY Gov Spitzer Drops to Minus 3 Net Job Approval; In Negative Numbers for 1st Time: New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, who in January had a Plus 38 Net Job Approval, drops today to a Minus 3, a swing of 41 points, according to this latest exclusive monthly tracking poll conducted by SurveyUSA for WABC-TV New York City, WHEC-TV Rochester and WNYT-TV Albany. The NY state Ethics Commission is investigating possible wrongdoing by the Governor and his staff. 44% of residents statewide approve of the Governor today, 47% disapprove. Spitzer's Net Job Approval today is Plus 10 among Democrats, and Minus 13 among Republicans and Independents. Spitzer is Plus 4 in New York City, Minus 5 in the New York City suburbs, and Minus 9 upstate.
