* Hahn has a Plus 27 Net Favorability Rating: 39% of voters view her favorably, compared to 12% who view her unfavorably. Cell-phone and home-phone respondents included in this research. SurveyUSA interviewed 800 registered voters from California's 44th Congressional District 09/20/12 through 09/22/12, using Registration Based Sample (voter list sample) from Aristotle of Washington DC. Of the registered voters, 613 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote in the 11/06/12 election. This research was conducted entirely by telephone. Respondents reachable on a home telephone (82% of likely voters), were interviewed on their home telephone in the recorded voice of a professional announcer. Respondents not reachable on a home telephone (18% of likely voters), were called on their cell phones by live operators, who hand-dialed the phone, secured respondent cooperation, verified respondent eligibility, asked the questions, logged the answers, and remained on the line until the call was completed. Both candidates are sitting members of Congress. Both are Democrats, who finished first and second in California's "top 2" primary system. Because of redistricting, the 2 candidates are fighting for one newly-drawn House seat. |
