KS Senate: Incumbent Roberts Holds 2:1 Lead in Re-Election Bid: In an election for United States Senator from Kansas today, 08/21/08, eleven weeks from the vote, incumbent Republican Pat Roberts defeats Democrat Jim Slattery 58% to 31%, according to this SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for KWCH-TV Wichita and KCTV-TV Kansas City. Among men, Roberts leads by 32 points; among women, Roberts leads by 23. Roberts leads among most groups; Slattery leads among Democrats and liberals; the two candidates split pro-choice voters evenly. 1 in 4 Democrats cross over to vote for Republican Roberts; 1 in 8 Republicans cross over to vote for Democrat Slattery.
 
Filtering: SurveyUSA interviewed 900 Kansas adults 08/18/08 through 08/21/08. Of them, 775 were registered to vote. Of the registered voters, 641 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely voters in the 11/04/08 general election.
