| Cleveland Gives Mayor Jackson a 'C' Overall, 'C Minus' on Crime, 'C Minus' on the Economy: 49% of Registered voters in the city of Cleveland disapprove of the job Mayor Frank Jackson is doing, according to this SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for WOIO-TV CBS Channel 19. Voters give Jackson a 2.0 Grade-Point-Average (which is a "C" grade) on his overall job performance. Voters give Jackson a C minus grade on his handling of crime, and a C minus grade on his handling of the economy. 28% of Cleveland voters say they would not vote for Jackson for re-election no matter who else is on the ballot, including 37% of white voters. Jackson gets a D+ from whites on his handling of crime and the economy. Jackson consistently scores better with older voters, East-Side voters, and African American voters. Filtering: 525 city of Cleveland adults were interviewed by SurveyUSA 08/02/07 through 08/05/07. Of them, 458 were registered to vote and were included in this survey. |
