In a SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for Roll Call, the newspaper of Capitol Hill, two of U.S. Senator Norm Coleman’s possible Democratic challengers run even with Coleman in head-to-head matchups today.

In an election today, 11/05/07:

  • Norm Coleman (R) 46%
  • Al Franken (DFL) 45%

  • Norm Coleman (R) 44%
  • Mike Cirsei (DFL) 44%

  • Coleman holds 89% of the GOP base against either opponent.
  • Both Democrats hold 84% of the Democratic base against Coleman.
  • Among Independents, Coleman leads by 6 against Franken and by 4 against Ciresi.
  • Among Moderates, Franken leads by 5, Ciresi leads by 8.
  • Franken runs 20 points better among women than among men. Ciresi runs 25 points better among women than among men.
