5 pollsters competed on the 2007 Kentucky Governor Election, on 11/06/07. Pollsters estimated Democrat Steve Beshear would defeat incumbent Republican Ernie Fletcher by 12 to 23 points. SurveyUSA’s final pre-election poll said Beshear would get 59% of the vote. He did.

Six months of SurveyUSA tracking polls were underwritten by, and conducted exclusively for, WHAS-TV, the Belo-owned station in Louisville, and WCPO-TV, the Scripps-Howard station in Cincinnati.
