  • 36% say it’s stuffing.
  • 19% pick mashed potatoes.
  • 16% prefer sweet potatoes.
  • 8% like green bean casserole the most.
  • 5% go with cranberry sauce.
  • 8% look forward to pumpkin pie for dessert.
  • 3% say pecan pie is their favorite side.

Some interesting regional differences — stuffing leads in every part of the country, but green bean casserole is three times as popular in the west as it is in the northeast, and sweet potatoes are half as popular west of the Mississippi as they are east of it:
