Looking today at 2008 head to head matchups in Kansas, where we find John McCain is the only candidate whose leads are larger than the margins of error.

McCain leads Hillary Clinton by 17 points in Kansas, and leads Barack Obama by 16 points. Neither Democrat has closed the gap to single digits at any time in our polling, which dates back to June of 2006 for Clinton and October 2006 for Obama.

Here’s how the other Republicans we tested this month perform against these two Democrats:

Rudy Giuliani leads Clinton by 6 and Obama by 5.

Mitt Romney trails Clinton by 4 and Obama by 3.

Mike Huckabee trails both Democrats by 6.
