56% of Tampa-area homeowners say they are very or somewhat familiar with the proposed property tax amendment that will appear on the January 29 primary ballot.

• 15% say the amendment, which would double the current homestead deduction and allow for portability of “Save Our Homes” benefits, does not go far enough.
• 33% say it goes too far.
• 44% say it’s just about right.
