Virginia: Governor, President Approval Swing In Opposite Directions
In Virginia, Democratic Governor Tim Kaine today has a 51% approval rating, a 43% disapproval rating, and a Net Job Approval of Plus 8, the lowest of his two years in office. Kaine’s previous low was a Plus 14 in July of 2006.
Meantime, President Bush today has a 39% approval rating, a 58% disapproval rating, and a Net Job Approval of Minus 19 — his best showing since January of last year, when he reached Minus 9.
Kaine’s approval rating has never dipped below 51% in 23 months of tracking; Bush’s has never risen above 49% in 33 months of tracking.
