Over the past three months, President Bush’s approval ratings increased in 11 of 15 states polled by SurveyUSA. His Net Job Approval, calculated by subtracting disapproval from approval, increased 13 points in Virginia between November and January, from Minus 32 to Minus 19. Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius, who will give the Democratic response to President Bush’s State of the Union address next week, today has a 64% approval rating, a 32% disapproval rating, and a Net Job Approval of Plus 32 in her home state. In Virginia, Democratic Governor Tim Kaine today has a 51% approval rating, a 43% disapproval rating, and a Net Job Approval of Plus 8, the lowest of his two years in office.
