Virginia Sits on Red-Blue Fence, Depending on Democratic Nominee, Margin of Error, and Undecideds

SurveyUSA’s latest Virginia polling shows the state sits right on the fence between turning blue and remaining red in the upcoming presidential election.
Hillary Clinton trails John McCain by three points; Barack Obama leads John McCain by six points. Results for both pairings have a 4.2% margin of sampling error; additionally, 7% are undecided in a Clinton/McCain match, and 4% are undecided if it’s Obama against McCain, producing “Keith Numbers” of 11.2 and 8.2, respectively.
