In our latest poll out of Tampa for WFLA-TV, 52% of registered voters told us their opinion of John McCain went up after hearing his speech at the Republican National Convention last night. 18% say their opinion of McCain went down while 30% say their opinion of McCain stayed the same.

We asked voters who heard the speeches by both McCain and Obama to tell us who would do a better job with certain issues. Here is what they told us:

• Who has the better plan for Iraq?  McCain
• For energy independence? McCain
• For Health care? McCain
• Who is stronger on the environment? McCain
• On education? McCain

And if Tampa voters were placing a bet today on who will be elected our next President? You guessed it…they put their money on McCain.

If Americans had to place a bet on who our next President is going to be, who would they put their money on? Yesterday, 48% of voters across the country told us that if they were placing a bet today they would put their money on Barack Obama, according to this national poll conducted by WBZ-TV in Boston. 45% of Americans say their money would be on John McCain.

We asked registered voters across the country yesterday, before her speech, if they thought Sarah Palin was an asset to John McCain or a liability. Here is what they told us:

• 49% feel Palin is an asset to McCain.
• 37% say Palin is a liability.
• 14% of voters don’t know enough to say.

If they were placing a bet on the next President today, 54% of voters from the state of Washington would put their money on Barack Obama, according to our exclusive poll conducted for KING-TV in Seattle. 38% say they would put their money on John McCain.

When we asked Washington voters who they thought the Media was rooting for, 52% said Barack Obama…while only 8% feel the Media is rooting for John McCain.  35% think the Media is trying to be fair to both of them.

How do Washington-area voters feel about the pregnancy of Sarah Palin’s teenage daughter? 80% say it’s a private, family matter. 15% feel it’s a legitimate issue.

It seems voters in the state of Washington are split about whether or not the selection of SarahPalin as a running mate reflects well on John McCain or poorly on him.  Here is what we found:

• 45% say selecting Palin reflects well on McCain.
• 40% say the selection reflects poorly on him.
• 14% do not know enough to say.

In a recent poll of registered voters in the state of Washington, 45% said they feel Sarah Palin is an asset to John McCain. 39% think differently…they feel Palin is a liability to the McCain camp. 15% just don’t know enough to say.

According to the the latest SurveyUSA poll conducted for WABC-TV in New York, 47% of registered voters in the New York-area say the media is rooting for Barack Obama.  Only 8% feel the media is rooting for John McCain. 38% say the media is trying its best to be fair to both candidates.

If New Yorkers had to place a bet today on who would be elected the next President of the United States, 61% say they would bet on Barack Obama. 33% would put their money on John McCain.
