Quick Takes: Three Congressional Races

Three SurveyUSA Congressional Districts polled over the past few days; here’s a quick summary.
In Washington State’s 2nd Congressional District, Democrat Rick Larsen, first elected to the US House of Representatives eight years ago, defeats Republican Rick Bart by 18 points.
In Washington State’s 8th Congressional District, where Republican Dave Reichert and Democrat Darcy Burner are facing off in a rematch of their 2006 contest, which Reichert won by 2 points, Reichert today holds a 6-point lead.
In Indiana’s 9th Congressional District, the rematch is more of a biennial event. Here, Democratic incumbent Baron Hill and Republican challenger Mike Sodrel have faced each other in each election since 2002. Hill, originally elected to the seat in 1998, beat Sodrel in 2002, lost to him in 2004, and recaptured his seat from Sodrel in 2006. Today, Hill is 11 points ahead in his quest for a fifth term in the District.
