Compared to an identical SurveyUSA poll released 18 days ago, Obama is up 7 points; McCain is down 7 points.

Obama today takes a majority of the vote among both men and women, young and old, white and black, rich and poor, religious and less religious, well-educated and less educated.

1 in 3 Republicans today cross over to vote for Barack Obama. 1 in 8 Democrats cross over to vote for John McCain. Independents are divided.
