In Kansas, McCain Up 25 Among Those Likely to Vote … But Up By Just 4 Among Those Who Have Already Voted
John McCain defeats Barack Obama 58% to 37% in a Kansas election today, six days until votes are counted. McCain leads by 25 points among those voters SurveyUSA determines are likely to vote on or before Election Day — McCain leads by just 4 points among the Kansans who tell SurveyUSA they have already cast their ballots. Downticket, incumbent Republican Senator Pat Roberts, first elected in 1996, defeats Democrat Jim Slattery 2:1 to win his third term in office. 800 Kansas adults were interviewed 10/27/08 and 10/28/08. Of them, 712 were registered to vote. Of them, 626 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote on or before election day.
