Immediately following Tuesday night’s WABC-TV debate between Mike Bloomberg and Bill Thompson, SurveyUSA interviewed 1,650 New York City residents. Of them, 562 watched the debate. Debate watchers divide into 3 camps: 44% say Bloomberg won. 30% say Thompson won. 26% say there was no clear winner. Although 3 of 4 debate watchers did not change their mind as a result of what they heard tonight, of those who did switch from one candidate to the other, twice as many switched from Bloomberg as switched to Bloomberg.
