A bill in the Florida State Senate, called Senate Bill 6, would eliminate existing teacher contracts and replace them with contracts that base more than fifty percent of a teacher’s wages on student achievement.  SurveyUSA asked adults in Tampa if they thought that was fair or unfair to teachers.  64% think it would be unfair…33% feel it would be fair to teachers.

Would the bill cause the quality of education to get better or worse?

• 31% think the quality of education would get better.
• 41% think it would get worse
• 22% feel it would stay about the same.
