Florida Republicans Say, ‘No Worries,’ Our Delegates Will Be Counted No Matter What the RNC Threatens

Florida Republicans tell SurveyUSAiphone-calendar-icon-jan-31.png that that when all is said and done, Florida’s delegates to the Republican National Convention will be counted, despite threats by the Republican National Committee to penalize the state, according to a poll conducted for WFLA-TV Tampa.
Though a majority of Florida Republicans says the state should obey the calendar rules set by the RNC, a majority also says that it is unfair to penalize the state for violating those rules. By 5:2, Florida Republicans say, in the end, their delegates will be counted. Tea Party members by 6:1 say that despite the threats, the delegates will be counted.

Filtering:  SurveyUSA interviewed 1,215 Florida adults 09/30/2011, immediately after the state confirmed its plan to upstage other primary states and upend tradition. Of the Florida adults, 1,101 identified themselves as being registered to vote in Florida; of the Florida voters, 400 identified themselves as registered Florida Republicans, and were asked the questions that follow.
