Analysis: In an election today, 7/25/06, in Kentucky's 4th Congressional District, Democrat Ken Lucas retakes his old seat from incumbent Republican Geoff Davis, according to an exclusive SurveyUSA poll conducted for WCPO-TV Cincinnati. Lucas, who represented the 4th District from 1999 through 2004, gets 50% of the vote. Davis, who lost to Lucas in 2002 but was elected in 2004 after Lucas retired, gets 41%. Democrats support Lucas by 7:1. Republicans support Davis by 4:1. Independents favor Lucas by 4:3. The election is on 11/7/06. President George W. Bush's approval rating among likely voters in Kentucky's 4th Congressional District is 43%. |
