Trump Loses Golden State 2nd-Term Re-Election Bid By 15 or More Points to Sanders, Buttigieg, Biden, Warren, Steyer, or Klobuchar:

2 weeks till California counts its primary ballots and 37 weeks till California counts its Election Day ballots, the Golden State's bedrock 55 electoral votes remain safely Democratic, though the 2 candidates who run the strongest against Donald Trump are not classic Democrats, according to SurveyUSA polling conducted for KABC-TV in Los Angeles, KGTV-TV in San Diego, and the Union Tribune.

As the national spotlight swings West, the battle for the nation's largest pool of electoral votes stands:

* Mike Bloomberg carries CA by 25 points today, defeating President Trump 59% to 34%. Bloomberg is up 9 points since Thanksgiving; Trump is flat.
* Bernie Sanders carries CA by 21 points today, defeating Trump 58% to 37% . Sanders had led by 33 points last summer.
* Joe Biden carries CA by 20 points today, defeating Trump 57% to 37% . Biden had led by 34 points last summer.
* Pete Buttigieg carries CA by 20 points today, 56% to 36%.
* Elizabeth Warren carries CA by 16 points today, 54% to 38%.
* Tom Steyer carries CA by 16 points today, 54% to 38%.
* Amy Klobuchar carries CA by 15 points today, 52% to 37%.

Among independent voters, who are essential to Trump coast-to-coast for him to win re-election and essential to Democrats if they hope to unseat Trump: Steyer and Warren lead by 18 points, Klobuchar by 19 points, Sanders by 24 points, Biden by 25 points, Buttigieg by 30 points and Bloomberg by 33 points.

Among suburban women, where Democrats hope to make-up ground in 2020, Warren leads by 29 points, Klobuchar leads by 31 points, Steyer leads by 32 points, Sanders leads by 36 points, Buttigieg leads by 37 points, Biden leads by 38 points and Bloomberg leads by 40 points.

Of the CA adults, 1,196 are registered to vote. In 2016, Hillary Clinton carried CA by 30 points. In 2012, Barack Obama carried CA by 23 points over Mitt Romney. In 2008, Obama carried CA by 24 points over John McCain. In 2004, John Kerry carried CA by 10 points over George W Bush. In 2000, Al Gore carried CA by 12 points over Bush.
