CA: Proposition 2 Easily Passes: In a vote today, 09/25/08, on California's Proposition 2 Ballot Initiative, which would require that enclosures for farm animals allow the animals to lie down, stand up, turn around and extend their limbs, passes by a 7:1 margin, according to this latest SurveyUSA poll conducted for KABC-TV Los Angeles, KPIX-TV San Francisco, KGTV-TV San Diego, and KFSN-TV Fresno.

When first asked how they will vote, 62% of likely voters say they are certain to vote Yes on the initiative; 8% certain to vote No; 30% are not certain. When the 30% who are not certain are asked whether they lean toward voting Yes, lean toward voting no, or do not lean, the results are as shown below: 72% Yes, 10% No, 17% still not certain. Support for the proposition is strong among all demographic groups and in all regions of the state.

 
Filtering: SurveyUSA interviewed 950 California adults 09/23/08 and 09/24/08. Of the adults, 820 were registered to vote. Of the registered voters, 661 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely voters in the 11/04/08 general election.
