Results of SurveyUSA Election Poll #27900

In San Diego County, Democrat Becerra Passes Democrat Styer to Advance to General Election Alongside Republican Hilton:

SurveyUSA's latest state-wide polling shows a 7-point increase month-on-month for Democrat Xavier Becerra, while fellow Democrat Tom Steyer climbed 2 points statewide and Republican Steve Hilton stayed flat, in the lead statewide with 20%. Now our latest polling in San Diego County, also conducted exclusively for KGTV News 10 and the San Diego Union Tribune, shows something else: Hilton flat and still in the lead with 21%, but Becerra surging 10 points, from 9% one month ago to 19% today, while Steyer falls a nominal point, from 17% to 16%.

Elsewhere on the crowded ballot, Republican Chad Bianco falls 2 points from 14% to 12%; Democrat Katie Porter loses a nominal point, dipping from 9% to 8%; Democrat Antonio Villaraigosa falls 2 points, seeing his support cut in half from 4% to 2%; Democrat Matt Mahan fares even worse, dropping from 7% to 3%. Tony Thurmond is the only Democrat with no movement: steady month-on-month at 1%.

Among only those voters who tell SurveyUSA they have already returned their ballots, 30% of the electorate, Hilton and Becerra have strong leads of 30% and 26% respectively. Steyer and Bianco are bunched together at 14% and 13%; no one else tops 6%.
