NC Men Wake-Up to Richard Moore in Race for Democratic Nomination for Governor: In a Democratic Primary for Governor of NC today, 04/08/08, four weeks to the vote, State Treasurer Richard Moore and Lieutenant Governor Beverly Perdue tie, 40% each, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for WTVD-TV, the ABC-owned TV station in Raleigh. The contest has been fundamentally altered in the past month, as Moore overcame a 16-point deficit. Both whites and blacks, young and old have rallied to Moore, who trailed by 20 points in February. In Charlotte, Moore led by 3 last month, leads by 21 this month. In Raleigh, Moore was down 21 last month, now down 7. On the Coast, Moore had trailed by 37, now trails by 12. |
Filtering: 2,100 state of NC adults were interviewed 04/05/08 through 04/07/08. Of them, 1,824 were registered to vote. Of them, 725 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote in the Democratic Primary on 05/06/08. |
