About: SurveyUSA interviewed 800 registered voters from California's 22nd Congressional District 09/20/18 through 09/25/18 using voter-list sample provided by Aristotle of Washington DC. Of the registered voters, 582 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to return a ballot on or before Election Day 11/06/18. This research was conducted 100% by telephone. Voters reachable on a home telephone (55%) were interviewed on their home telephone in the recorded voice of a professional announcer. Voters not reachable on a home telephone were called on their cell phone by live interviewers, who hand-dialed the telephone, secured the respondent's cooperation, asked the questions and remained on the line until the conclusion of the interview. CA-22, in the San Joaquin Valley, includes eastern Fresno and all of Clovis, Tulare and Visalia. Nunes defeated Janz in California's 06/05/18 open, Top-2 primary, 58% to 31%. Nunes won the district with 68% of the vote in 2016, with 72% of the vote in 2014, and with 62% of the vote in 2012. Janz is a Fresno County prosecutor.
