Results of SurveyUSA Election Poll #13902

Schrader Leads 2:1 in Low-Interest Democratic Primary in Oregon's 5th Congressional District: Hours before votes are counted in Oregon's 5th Congressional District Democratic primary, State Senator Kurt Schrader leads Steve Marks, the former chief of staff to Oregon's last governor, 43% to 19%, according to this SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for KATU-TV in Portland. 38% of voters say they are undecided or are favoring some other candidate, an unusually high number at this late hour, suggesting many Democrats are not focused on this down-ticket contest. Schrader today leads among every demographic group. Incumbent Democrat Darlene Hooley is retiring. The U.S. House seat is open. The winner of the Democratic Primary will in the November general election face Republican Mike Erickson or Kevin Mannix.
