1 | A new King County law requires the use of personal floatation devices by people boating, floating, or swimming in major King County rivers. The law would apply to those using things like boats, rafts, inner tubes, surf boards, sail boards, canoes, and kayaks. It also requires personal floatation devices for people swimming or wading more than five feet from shore, or in water more than four feet deep, except in designated public beaches or for those who are skin diving. A first violation would be a warning; a second violation would be a $86 fine. Do you support? Or do you oppose this law? |
