Hagan, Neal Neck-and-Neck in Dem Senate Race With Majority Undecided Or Looking At Other Candidates: 12 weeks from North Carolina's Democratic Primary for United States Senate, State Senator Kay Hagan and businessman Jim Neal are tied in their race to face off against Republican incumbent Elizabeth Dole in November. SurveyUSA's latest tracking poll conducted exclusively for WTVD-TV in Raleigh today shows it 24% Hagan, 23% Neal -- but 15% of likely voters today cast their ballot for one of three other candidates in the race, and 38% say they are undecided. Podiatrist Howard Staley gets 8% of the vote today; 1 in 7 unaffiliated voters go with him. John Ross Hendrix, a former Republican, takes 4%; truck driver Duskin Lassiter takes 3% of the vote. |
Filtering: 2,000 state of NC adults were interviewed by SurveyUSA 02/11/08. Of the adults, 1,669 were registered to vote. Of them 580 were determined by SurveyUSA to be likely to vote in the 05/06/08 NC Democratic Primary. |
