2 weeks to the 5/17/05 L.A. Mayor runoff election, a rematch of the runoff election from 4 years ago, Antonio Villaraigosa leads incumbent James Hahn 62% to 33%. Since an identical poll 3 weeks ago, Villaraigosa has lost 2 points and Hahn has gained 1 point. Most who voted for Bob Hertzberg or Bernard Parks in the Primary now switch to Villaraigosa. Hahn leads among Republicans, Conservatives, and voters age 65 and over. Filtering: 1,800 City of Los Angeles adults were interviewed 4/30 - 5/2. 1397 of them were registered to vote. Of them, 505 were judged to be "likely" voters. Crosstabs reflect "likely" voters. Interviews were conducted in both English and Spanish.
