WA Strongly Opposed to Supreme Court Decision Overturning Roe v. Wade, Supportive of State Leaders' Efforts to Help Those From Other States:

53% of Washington State adults say they strongly oppose the recent Supreme Court of the United States decision overturning Roe v. Wade, according to SurveyUSA's latest polling conducted exclusively for The Seattle Times, KING 5 TV, the University of Washington's Center for an Informed Public, and Washington State University's Murrow College of Communication. Another 10% are somewhat opposed; 11% somewhat support and 15% say they strongly support the decision. Combined, 63% are opposed, 26% support.

43% say they strongly support efforts by state leaders to help people in other states get abortions in Washington; 19% somewhat support. 8% somewhat oppose these efforts, and 20% are strongly opposed. Combined, 62% support, 28% oppose – nearly identical to the percentages opposing and supporting the Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, the case that overturned Roe v. Wade.

About the Poll: SurveyUSA interviewed 825 Washington State adults online 07/06/22 through 07/10/22, using sample provided by Lucid Holdings LLC of New Orleans. The pool of adult survey respondents was weighted to US Census targets for gender, age, race, education, and home ownership.
