| Majority in CA Say Kamala Harris is "Right Choice" for Joe Biden, Would Be Ready To Step In If Needed:
53% of California adults say Joe Biden's pick of US Senator Kamala Harris was "the right choice," according to SurveyUSA's latest exclusive polling of the Golden State, conducted for KGTV and the Union Tribune in San Diego and for KABC-TV in Los Angeles. 30% say Biden should have selected someone else. Before Biden's selection of Harris, 54% say they supported Biden for President; 25% supported Trump; 8% say they supported another candidate, and 12% were undecided. After selecting Harris ... * 93% of Biden voters and 94% of Trump voters continue to support their candidate. * 24% of those who had supported someone else now support Biden; 20% of those voters now support Trump. * 19% of those who had been undecided now support Biden; 14% now support Trump. 55% say that if Joe Biden is elected, and if it becomes necessary at some point during his presidency, Kamala Harris would ready to step in and serve as President; 25% say she would not. 20% are unsure. Democrats say Harris is ready by a margin of more than 13:1; Republicans by nearly 3:1 say she is not. Independents by 5:3 say Harris would be ready to take over, should that be necessary. |
